1978 Bedford CF250 Dormobile Landcruiser very useable
design.
Bedford CF250 Dormobile
Landcruiser for sale. We have owned her for around 5 years. Year one I stripped all the old interior and went about rebuilding
from the frame work up. New insulation, new ply lining, new carpeting to leisure area and door cards, new interior carpentry,
new high level storage, new kitchen, oak worktop, new leisure electrics, new leisure gas connections. New 110v inverter, new
230v internal sockets, new heater, new waeco fridge with freezer (which runs parked up on leisure battery), new sink, new
tap with pump, new chemy toilet, new led lights to internal area, loads of cool stuff. New pop up windows to the roof, two
captains chairs upfront, new driving battery and leisure battery that are left on trickle charge whilst we're in storage,
new EVERYTHING! Weve only used it a few times, kept a family of four safe and sound for around a week to ten days on the road.
Year 3 is was stored, year four we used it twice for weekends at the beach. I have another classic and we're out in this
more these days.
Internally we have a 6ft
double that is made from the double bench seats. All new cushions, upholstery, curtains, and a 4ft hammock which is removable.
I have also fitted lap belts for the children in the back.
Mechanically it is very good, we haven't had any bumps
on the road, not since I had the brakes overhauled, new pipes and cylinders, two new tyres, Weber carb that I had tuned. It's
a four speed gearbox and is very good to come up to speed. Underneath I have had a new custom 2 inch stainless exhaust fitted,
not rowdy but gives a lovely burble. The rear leisure area is fibreglass and easy to resurface. A job I was going to do next
year.
If we were to keep it I would
invest in new internal door skins but only because I always need a project! Otherwise they are fine. It has been dry stored
between use and I'd be happy to show you round. In a few years I think it would benefit from some paint but I havnt ever
had a feeling it was needed now. It's such a great space to camp in, full height standing without the hassle of popping
a roof, and with a little private cubby for the toilet in the bus my little girls have never had a problem going away on a
trip into the boonys.
Location is Chichester,
price is £8000 offers considered.
Sorry its SOLD!
