VW T25 DEVON 1982, 2 litre air cooled (auto), simply the best camper I have owned! Having previously owned a vw bay
which was great I eagerly took on the project of restoring this vehicle. The camper cost me £250 with a tired engine, however
the rest was in great condition. £1100 bought me a recon vege engine which I fitted myself. I took it for an MOT which it
passed with no problems and we were off! - The 2 litre engine had plenty of power cruising easily at 70mph and was almost
silent from the inside the cab. I would have preferred a manual gearbox for hill climbing but the auto box was great in traffic.
The Devon conversion was excellent with all the usual fittings plus a large double bed in the pop top. The best things about
this camper were - it was very usable for a family of 3, it didn’t cost me much, you could get it in car parks and after
owning it for two years I sold it for nearly twice what it cost me!.....Paul (Derby)
