1972 Commer PB Camper ‘Lucy

Lucy is our 1972 Commer ‘York’ conversion. She is very rare, being the only known York conversion left in original condition. Fitted with side access door and unusually, no rear doors. Commissioned in 1972, by a couple from York.
The lady, now in her 80’s, still lives in York and travelled all over Europe in her.
She then passed it on to 2 other family members, from whom we bought her approx 3 years ago.
She has done 67,800 miles and is in excellent condition throughout.
Fitted with a new Webber carb and electronic ignition, she purrs along.
1725cc with manual transmission. We took her to Scotland last week and she performed faultlessly.
She comes with 12months mot and tax (tax free). Externally we gave her a bottom half respray, shortly after buying her.
There was minimal rust bubbling on the rear arches and door bottoms, these were repaired with new steel, prior to painting.
Exceptionally there was no other rust and all the floors/cills and chassis are rot free.
Re-chromed front bumper and new hubcaps. Internally we replaced the cushions and recovered them and also fitted new curtains and headlining. There is a calor hob and grill, sink with electric water pump, factory cool box and mains hook up.
She also comes with a full side awning. The pop-top allows full standing height in the rear.
The rear seats fold down, to form a double bed. A bunk can be fitted over the front seats.
