Tabbert 510 Condor Motorhome
"Bertie" is an unusual and eye-catching German A class motorhome coachbuilt
by Tabbert on a galvanized Al-Ko chassis with independent suspension all round.. The underside is rust-free and most probably
in better condition than many a 10 year old vehicle.
Powered
by the "bulletproof" 2.3 Peugeot diesel engine with chain-driven cam (no need for timing belts to be changed) with
only 106000 kms (66000 miles) on the clock after 31 years.
The
gearbox is excellent with nice crisp action.
The inside of the
vehicle is watertight and exceptionally roomy & spacious with a lot of height (I’m 6’2" and can always
stand upright) but the big surprise is the sheer amount of vision through the windows from the driver or passenger seat...it’s
like sitting in an armchair in your living room with the outside world passing by in Cinemascope.
Everything you expect in a motorhome is here. Wash room with shower, washbasin, bathroom cabinet and Thetford cassette
toilet. SMEV 4 hob gas cooker with oven and grill. Truma blown air heating and hot water. 3 way Electrolux fridge with frrezer
box. Wardrobe and lots of other storage. Fiamma turbo vent extractor. Radio/CD player. Captains front seats with adjustable
armrests. 240v hook up. 12v leisure system with battery condition and water tank readouts for both waste and clean water.
2 berth but plenty space for more. Towbar..etc
The bodywork
is solid and the inside is tidy with upholstery in good condition.
"Bertie"
is LHD, does not have PAS or ABS, and was first registered in the UK in 2004.
