VW LT35 1978 Motorhome
A 5 berth consisting of a permanent fixed large double bed
over the cab, single bed behind the cab made up from 2 single seats and table and a generous double at the rear which is made
up from the rear seating area (shown in photo). All the beds are very comfortable and cosy and there is plenty of storage
space for bedding. All cushions are present and correct with curtains and soft furnishings in a matching cream fabric. Lots
of storage space both above and below seating as well as a full length wardrobe.
kitchen is fully equipped with 3 way fridge, 2 ring gas hob with oven & grill, sink & drainer plus plenty
of work surface and storage. Kitchen sink with hot and cold running water, draining into an on board waste tank with separate
external tap.
Bathroom - very new electric flushing Thetford
cassette toilet. Separate curtained shower with fold out sink; drainage under van.
Hot water system; runs from the gas system or the engines cooling system.
Fiamma 6x3m roll out awning with full set of sides and attachable skirts. It is in excellent condition and fits flush
to the side of the van with no leaks. The zip on sides all in excellent condition and all windows have curtains.
Large onboard fresh water tank.
Working gas fire.
Newish fully functional solar
panel; runs both a 12v circuit when the sun is out and also charges the on board leisure battery which is equipped with a
600W 240v inverter running numerous power sockets. Has a split charger from the engine; also runs the 12v lights and hifi
when parked up.
Great stereo speaker system including 6"
speakers in the front doors, 6x9's in the rear of the van and an amplified (1000W) 12" sub behind passenger seat.
No working head unit in the van but it has been wired to take a singe DIN standard ISO head unit and cage straight in the
dash. There is also a space for a second head unit in rear.
External
standard sized water, gas and electric hook up points Lockable gas cupboard with gas bottle.
Fitted with the bomb proof 2.0 Audi 4 cylinder engine that was fitted to the Audi 80/90/100's of the period.
Engine has been given thorough service including plugs, leads, points,
filters and check of the cam belt.
The service also included
de-rusting the van with jelonite treatment on any visible corrosion followed by smoothrite to seal any treated areas. Underside
of the van is very clean and straight. All areas of black exterior paintwork (bumpers/wheels/etc) were re painted in smoothrite
and the underside of the van was de-gunged and wax oiled.
This
van is in great condition for her age; really neat and tidy. Also really lovely to drive..... as long as you're not in
a mad rush!
(55mph on the straight and flat).
