• 1969 Bedford CA Dormobile Martin Walter Conversion.
• Description.  Hattie is one of only a few surviving 4 speed Bedford CA Dormobiles and certainly goes quicker than most others.  We took her over the Alps in November and she would happily do it again.  She trundles down a motoway at 65mph-ish and can get up or down any hill you ask her to.  The interior is original Martin Walter but not original to this van.  The original had been removed when we bought it but we have subsequently fitted a 1961 Martin Walter Interior.  The seats, bunks etc all do the same clever things as the more recent model but the kitchen fittings are wooden rather than formica.  The chassis is in good condition and there are not major rust concerns.  She could do with a new seal around the window sometime but apart from that is a wonderful little van and will make anyone lots of friends!!!
